What does Callwell do?
Callwell builds on-call and shift schedules for medical groups. Set the rules for your shifts and call, tap auto-build for a fair, rule-safe month, sync it to Apple Calendar on every provider's iPhone, and handle requests and swaps with admin approval.
How much does Callwell cost?
Solo is free for up to 3 providers. Pro is $299/yr or $29.99/mo for up to 10 providers and 2 teams; larger groups have Group+, Department and Enterprise tiers on the pricing section of callwellapp.com. It is a subscription: one subscription covers the whole group, with no per-seat fees, and people who only view the schedule are free and unlimited. Annual plans include a 3-month free trial; monthly plans have no trial and can be cancelled anytime.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Paid features are auto-renewing subscriptions sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Cancel from inside Callwell (Settings → Manage Subscription, which opens Apple’s own subscription sheet), or on iPhone/iPad: Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Callwell → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid being charged for the next period.
Do I need an account?
No. Callwell has no accounts and no Callwell servers. Groups share one schedule using a group name and an invite code, synced through Apple's iCloud.
What data does Callwell collect? Does it handle patient data?
Callwell schedules people, never patients: no PHI, and it is not a medical device. The app does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs and does not track you. Schedule data stays on your devices, with optional iCloud sync for your group. Callwell is not on the App Store yet, so there is no published App Store privacy label; this page is the privacy summary until there is one.
How do I build my first schedule?
Create your group: add providers, rules and usual days off, or import the spreadsheet. Then tap auto-build for a fair, rule-safe month, review the flags, adjust, and share it to every phone.
Can we import our current schedule?
Yes. Bring last year's Excel or CSV and keep your history.
How do swaps and time off work?
Time-off windows open on your lead time, and swaps re-cover call automatically after admin approval.
How do refunds work?
Payment is charged to your Apple account and refunds are handled by Apple per its policies. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

What devices does Callwell run on?
iPhone and iPad today, iOS/iPadOS 16.0 or later; the beta runs via TestFlight plus a web app, and every schedule exports, prints and shares to anyone. Android is on the roadmap.
